The Brief

A family in Folkestone had an old boiler that was becoming unreliable and no longer giving them the steady heating and hot water they needed. They wanted a modern, dependable replacement fitted properly and signed off by a Gas Safe registered engineer. After talking it through, they chose a new Baxi combi boiler for its solid reputation and efficient running.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Removed the old boiler: Safely isolated the gas and water supplies and took out the old unit, leaving the space clean and ready for the new install.
• Fitted the new Baxi combi boiler: A modern high-efficiency combi that gives instant hot water and reliable central heating without the need for a separate tank.
• Added a Magnaclean filter: Installed a Magnaclean filter to catch sludge and debris in the system water, helping protect the new boiler and keep it running well for longer.
• Ran neat copper pipework: Tidy, well-supported copper connections made to manufacturer specification and British standards, then tested for leaks.
• Commissioned and tested: The system was filled, pressurised, and fully commissioned. All controls, the thermostat, and the safety devices were checked to confirm everything worked correctly.
• Registered the warranty: Registered the manufacturer warranty so the household is fully covered from day one.

The Result

The family now has efficient, reliable heating and hot water from a properly installed and commissioned Baxi combi boiler. With the Magnaclean filter fitted and the manufacturer warranty registered, the system is protected and set up to keep performing well for years to come.
